The Divas’ Dream Peacock Feather Marquetry by Bulgari is a tribute to the blue peacock’s luxurious plumage. Featuring twelve vividly colored feathers on the dial, each with ‘eyes’ symbolizing wisdom, these feathers, also known as ‘hairs,’ are naturally shed by the peacock and collected for their exceptional colors and textures. The feathers are inlaid using an ancient technique, revived by Bulgari in the 1970s, which was prominent during the Renaissance in Italy. The process is highly meticulous and time-consuming, requiring simple tools like a magnifying glass, tweezers, knife, and scissors, and takes several days.
