The Longines Legend Diver, a notable diver’s watch, has been thoroughly updated. It now features a 39 mm diameter case, mirroring the design of the original 1959 model. This tool-watch, suitable for underwater exploration, comes with either a black or blue lacquered dial.
Longines, a brand historically linked with sports and exploration, introduced its first water-resistant chronograph in 1937 and its inaugural underwater watch in 1958. The following year, the Longines Legend Diver debuted, showcasing a Super-Compressor case, internal rotating disc, and two screw-down crowns.
The revamped Longines Legend Diver maintains its status as a certified Divers’ Watch (ISO 6425) with 30 bar/300 meters water resistance and is also COSC-certified for precision. It is powered by the Longines L888.6 calibre, an automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve, enhanced magnetic resistance, and a silicon balance spring.
The dial, devoid of a date function, is available in black or blue lacquer and features a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. Its design includes elongated indexes, luminescent Arabic numerals, and new rhodium-plated, polished arrow-hands with Super LumiNova® for improved visibility.
A unique feature is the internal bidirectional rotating bezel for timing dives, safeguarded against accidental adjustments. The Legend Diver’s stainless-steel case combines polished and satin-brushed surfaces and includes a screw-down case back with a diver symbol.
