Presented in polished steel cases with either vivid blue or deep black sunray dials, these editions echo the pioneering use of colour seen in early Reverso models from the 1930s. On one side, a small seconds subdial balances the rectangular geometry with circular tension, while the reverse offers a second time zone with a 24-hour indication—each dial purposefully distinct, yet mechanically linked through the hand-wound Calibre 854.
Born in 1931 to meet the demands of polo-playing British officers in India, the Reverso’s swivelling case remains its most recognisable trait, originally patented to protect the dial from impacts on the field. Over time, this functional innovation evolved into a platform for mechanical ingenuity, culminating in the introduction of the Duoface in 1994.
