De Bethune has released the DB25 Monopusher Chronograph in a 40 mm case, marking the fourth monopusher chronograph in its history. This model continues a line that began in 2002 with the DB1 and reflects the brand’s ongoing interest in traditional chronograph design. Inspired by early 20th-century aesthetics, the DB25 features a silvered dial, blued hands, and a prominent 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock with barleycorn guilloché. The dial layout focuses on readability, using contrast and symmetry to support a clear, functional display.
The titanium case is lightweight and mirror-polished, with a single pusher integrated into the crown. The open-worked lugs and slim bezel emphasize the dial’s proportions without adding bulk. Inside, the watch uses the DB3000 caliber, introduced in 2023 and developed entirely in-house. It includes an ultra-thin column wheel, instantaneous 60-minute counter, titanium and white gold balance wheel, flat terminal curve hairspring, and a silicon escape wheel—components that combine performance and efficiency in a compact movement.
Through the case back, the movement’s polished steel bridges and mechanical layout are fully visible.
