At Watches and Wonders Geneva 2024, Ulysse Nardin presents the Freak S Nomad, a bold limited edition watch. Its unique movement resembles a spaceship, featuring silicon balance wheels, DIAMonSIL-treated escapements, and Ulysse Nardin’s Grinder® winding system. The 45mm case combines titanium, anthracite PVD-coated titanium, and carbon fiber. Two strap options are offered: anthracite rubber and matte anthracite alligator with sand-colored calfskin leather accents.
Traditional craftsmanship meets innovation in the hour disc, featuring a diamond guilloché pattern created by skilled artisans using an 18th-century rose engine. Despite its unconventional design, the Freak S Nomad retains Haute Horlogerie elements, with no traditional dial, hands, or crown. Instead, the movement is displayed under a sapphire crystal, and time is indicated by pointers on the flying carousel and a rotating hour disc. Super-LumiNova® coating ensures visibility in low light.
